WHAT IS PROTEIPAQ?
The innovation of the PROTEIPAQ range of orthomolecular (ortho- meaning "correct" or "corrective") sachetted nutritional and therapeutic supplements; and nutraceuticals marketed under the PROTEICEUTICALS label, lies principally with a combination of two features, which differentiates them from other high-value nutritional and delivery methodologies:
- In that they are presented as high-value, long-life Ready-to-Use Foods (RUF) or Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF), out of soya-protein fundamentals, which are supplemented to optimal amino acid equilibrium. This base has been further developed into a unique peanut butter-like comparative, similar in appearance and tasting remarkably like the peanut butter original, but without the nutritional limitations of peanut protein.
This is the bulk-component of PROTEIPAQ products; to which is added micro-nutrients to make-up a wide variety of formulas for specific purposes;
coupled with
- the proven packaging concept of long-life sachetting which allows nutritional and therapeutic foods to be delivered directly to end-users irrespective of location, without first having to be deviated into kitchens or feeding-stations for preparation; the need for additional infrastructures such as refrigeration; and without the necessity for the inputs of specialised staffing, handling, storage or distribution.
The logistical advantages of long-life sachetting these types of products results in significant strategic and cost opportunities over conventional product packaging, which invariably adds labour and capital interventions. It also significantly reduces the risk of micro-biological deterioration or contamination and, further, reduces transit and handling risks, making these products so packed an ideal solution for any field-application.
PROTEIPAQ PRODUCTS
As the name implies, PROTEIPAQ products direct "complete" (i.e. all twenty-one of the necessary amino acids in balanced and enhanced orthomolecular forms) protein-based nutrition, therapy and immunotherapy into three distinct categories:
PROTEIPAQ ONE: Augmentative – for use
as a highly effective source of economical supplementary basic nutrition with added orthomolecular elements, where adequate protein nutrition is unavailable, or in sub-optimal shortage, likely to lead to symptoms of protein deprivation;
or
where composite protein nutrition is sought to support advanced levels of physical and intellectual performance.
These products fall within the generic definition of "RUF"; the acronym meaning "Ready-to-Use Food", and are ideal for application into, for example, the diverse requirements of reputable feeding programmes; and use by mine workers, military personnel and similar occupations as "rat-packs" in the context of the unique nutritional demands of their working environments.
They are also particularly well suited to disaster-management requirements; and as composite orthomolecular nutrition for vegans or vegetarians as they contain no animal or dairy products.
In the medical environment, the product provides the necessary orthomolecular nutritional support to facilitate and enhance a diversity of therapies and procedures.
PROTEIPAQ TWO: Restorative – for use
where inadequate nutrition; or the effects of illness, disease or other impairment has already resulted in debilitatory decline.
These products also have application where stress; arduous physical or mental activity; or acute or chronic health conditions warrant certain strategic overages or additions to that supplied by PROTEIPAQ ONE.
The variably advanced orthomolecular formulations of these products fall within the generic definition of "RUTF"; the acronym meaning "Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods" which are ideally suited to handle the consequences of advanced orthomolecular nutritional deprivation, irrespective of cause.
PROTEICEUTICALS: Curative – where
these high-level nutraceuticals are a significant onward progression from PROTEIPAQ TWO formulations; whereby the level of therapeutic input is increased to "optimum", or "relevant"; by the option of further increasing their specific therapeutic effects with additional overages or additions appropriate to handling demanding frames of reference, e.g. a homocysteine lowering (HCL) formulation in conjunction with comprehensive additional orthomolecular nutritional strategies.
